Question Lines of certain colour appear behind territories in MapPoint 2009

I have come across some odd behaviour in MapPoint 2009. If you draw a line on the map and you have territories displayed, for certain colours it appears behind the territory area so you can't see it. This doesn't happen in previous MapPoint versions. For example black and blue are ok but red and green aren't. The only way around this is to make the shape appear in front of the roads which I don't want to do. This surely has to be a bug.

If you right-click on the line, can you go to Order and Bring in Front of Roads?

Here's a screenshot.. the top line is in front of the roads, and the lower line is behind the roads.

Re: Lines of certain colour appear behind territories in MapPoint 2009

I know I can bring the lines in front of the roads using the right click menu and via the object model but I don't want to have to do that because I have pushpins at the end of the lines and I can't then click on the pushpin because the line is in front of it and MapPoint selects the line instead. I want the lines to be behind the roads so that the pushpins are in front of the line so I can click on the pushpin.

As I said, the issue is the fact when the lines are behind the roads, the lines also appear behind the territories for certain colours of line. This is very bizarre behaviour and has to be a bug since there is no logic to it and doesn't happen in earlier versions of MapPoint. Chances of it being fixed though are probably zero.

On your screenshot change the colour of the line to red or green and you will find the line appears behind the territory when ordered behind the roads.

Oh I see, thanks. Yes just changing the color pops it behind the territories. Bizarre! How about use one of the other colors that is in front of the territories like a slightly different color green?

Chances of it being fixed though are probably zero.
There is a chance they don't know about this issue and it could be fixed in the next or future versions.. You might open a support ticket so it's in their queue to be addressed?
