Hello,

I was wondering is there anybody who knows HOW I 'link' the local Mappoint-installation behind the 'Display Map of Address' button in the Outlook Contacts. At the moment this button links to 'http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/....' and is mostly not possible to locate my contacts (who are located in Europe). I have seen it is possible, but until now I don't know any way of doing this except removing Office and Mappoint and reinstalling them, and hoping...

What version of MapPoint and what version of Office are you running?

You could try to remove/add the MapPoint Com add-in.

In Outlook: Tools Menu/Options/OtherTab/Advanced Options/Com Add-ins

The should be an entry for MapPoint Office Add-in with a check box thats checked.

it should point to this file (if you have Mappoint 2002)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Geography\MPOAI9.dll

thanks for the tip, it was indeed this COM-addin who was missing.

Just for the record : It is office XP with MapPoint 2002.

I am replying to an old posting but same problem: I Can't Display Map of Address with Outlook 2002 and MapPoint 2004. I have checked the Com Add-in and "MapPoint Office Add-In" is checked and linked to some file in the pathway of C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Geography directory (but the ending is not shown for lack of space).

Any other ideas?
