Location coords at known distance & bearing

Hi all,

I am fairly new to using the MapPoint object model for programming, and I am stuck on something.

What I want to be able to do is to determine the coordinates of a new (unknown) location which is at a known distance and bearing from an established (known) location.

Say, for example, I have the known coordinates (XXX, YYY) of a point. And I say "right, now if I move 100km from this point at a heading of 67 degrees, what will the coordinates of my new location be?"

I have searched the MapPoint VB reference for any method or property that provides this information but so far haven't found anything. Is anyone aware of any function that can provide this information?

Thanks,
D

There is nothing built into mappoint for that, you will have to write it yourself.

Thanks! I'll give it a try.

Are there any other similar sites that provide the formulas for such calculations?
