Maid Brigade Wows its Franchisees at Annual Convention
July 31, 2006 - From major technological advancements and a new image to workshops and awards, Maid Brigade’s 16th Annual Franchisee Convention offered something for everyone.
“We opened the week with a very exciting new logo and never looked back,” explained Bart Puett, president of Maid Brigade, Inc. “The new logo is an outward symbol of where our company is headed. That is, identifying much closer with our customers’ needs and desires and finding a way to deliver on those. And, in an effort to truly distinguish our company from our competitors, we intend to become much more customer-centric over the coming months and years.”
This year’s convention, held in St. Louis, was filled with workshops, presenters and unlimited opportunities for franchisees to network with other franchisees. Puett continued, “Networking is one of the most, if not the most, valuable aspects of the convention and this year was no exception as there were many new faces to meet.”
Workshops, many presented by Maid Brigade franchisees themselves, ranged from customer service, personnel management and Internet marketing to vacuum repair and more. “It was exciting to see the buzz that Green cleaning, using products that are environmentally safe, created. This will be tested soon and certainly has tremendous potential,” Puett commented.
Highlighting the convention was the announcement of MicroMaid powered by ServMan™, Maid Brigade’s latest release of its highly acclaimed proprietary software. The new MicroMaid includes numerous enhancements as well as third-party integration products to help make franchisees even more efficient and successful. These include Microsoft® MapPoint®, QuickBooks® Synchronization and Batch Credit Card Processing to name just a few.
Capping this year’s convention were the annual award winners. Top honors for 2006 included:
• Franchisee of the Year–Mary Ellen Hoffman - Milwaukee, WI
• Outstanding New Franchisee of the Year–Josie Rangel - San Antonio, TX
• Manager of the Year—Greg Nicklas (with Lisa Saxton's office in Portland, OR)
• Field Employee of the Year—Cesario Vega (with Rachel Epperly's office in Rockville, MD)
• Top Gun for 2006—Lisa Saxton - Portland, OR
“And what would a trip to the Gateway to The West be without a visit to the St. Louis Gateway Arch, a Riverboat Cruise or a tour of the Anheuser Busch Brewery. Many of our franchisees took in these sights and then joined us for a night at the new Busch Stadium for a Cardinals Game,” Puett added.
“Our driving force and constant goal is to challenge everyone in our entire organization—team members, office staff, franchise owners and home office staff—to ask the following question every single day, ‘How can we become better at what we do?’ We must never settle for status quo or rest on our prior achievements, rather we must continue to improve and reach higher. This year’s convention reinforced we are right on track. We are looking forward to another successful year and hope to see everyone next year in Long Beach, California,” Puett concluded.
