Major problem Territorires and zips export

This is a duplicate of a recent post to MS Map point site

Some oen please help - I am trying to sell the usefullness of this tool to my organization and a real problem has popped up.

The short version - A one terrtiory for entire country
gives me 41,565 zip codes on export. An 85 territory map
gives me 39,655 zzips. Why is my 85 territory map missing
1900 zips - this is very bad. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!

I have 85 territories on my north American Map Point 2004.

I built them manually with territory builder based on 5
digit zip codes.

I export to excel and get 39655 zips with the correct
territory next to them.

So I run into a problem and I build another map with 1
giant territory for the whole country.

I export to excel and I get 41,565 zip codes.

I mapped the missing zips and the 1900 plus zips are all
over the country.

The bigger problem is that if you go to my 85 sales
territory map the missing zips are captuered within the
territories.

This is a serious problem - I need help - is there a flaw
in map point.

Am I doing something wrong - could this be a problem
related to the maps being built in an older version of
map point.

I need to resolve this or I have to scrap using map point
which my company is warming up to as a major tool.

Tried Guests suggestions & no solution

Thanks for the suggestions I tried but already doing the 2nd one and the 1st one may not apply but I tried it - it still came up 2000 zips short.

I have narrowed the problem down a bit I hope:

I built 85 territories in 50 states - I want to export all the zips within these territories to excel with a field for zip and a field for my territories - this is hapening but for some reason zips are bing missed.

FOR CLARIFICATION: I am exporting the zips in map point - not zips I put in. Basivcally I build a territory then I want all the zips in it.

My problem is that for some reason the only time I get all the zips in the USa is when I build one giant territory. So why is it not seeing these small or hidden zips - they don't have a dotted line - just a tag.

Partial solution but very time consuming - I can do a manual find on the missing zips - activate there tag - then add them to the territory - this is going to take a few days - not cool.

Any further help would be greatly appreciated - I was just on the cusp nf selling the benfits of this program and bang - I get sand bagged on this issue.
