Making an automated task in a commandline

My ACT (Contact Managment Program) has the ability to make customized buttons. It has a commandline that will let you browse or type what function you want it to perform. Now I can obviously have it open Excel or open Mappoint, but how could I get it to automaticly import my excel spreadsheet into mappoint. Im not looking for any specifics in ACt itself as this is not the forum for act, but I thought there might be some of you that might know how to import into mappoint with a commandline. Thanks in Advance
