Map Point Control 9 is driving me crazy

Okay, for some reason after I add the ActiveX Control for MapPoint 2002 into my Access Database form, it looks fine until I run the form... once I run the form, It gives me the error:

"There is no Object in this Control" .. then the Control loses it's MapPoint Icon in the middle turning it into a normal annoying OLE object ActiveX empty control. Now I can't do any programming on it.

On the Control's properties,
The OLE CLass is:
Microsoft MapPoint Control 9.0

The Class is:
MapPoint.Control.9

Is something messing up, can anyone help? Thanks. This one is making me incredibly frustrated.

Try adding the MapPointControl.OCX

Okay, when I try adding the MapPointControl.OCX file, which should be the ActiveX Control I get an error saying "This is not a valid ActiveX control" ... I went ahead and removed the non-working control "MapPoint Control 9" .... and now I can't re-add it. I've spent about 8 hours on this one little problem... please help.. going to go crazy.. :evil:

Thanks..

MP2k activex ctrl

Another thing,
Okay, if any of you have the MP for dummies book, or just open up your help file for Map Point and go down to the VBA section you'll see the 'Spinning Globe' application somewhere.

I've copied everything RIGHT out of the book or off of Microsoft's help file, and ONline. It is VERBATIM.

But I keep getting these error messages
"Object cannot be found in this contro." Or some other random error. GUys, nothing is working... I'm using this in Access 97... Can any of you try this and see if it works for you?

Also, The MapPoint Control is named MapPointControl1
And I have it set to this....

Private Sub Form_Load()
Dim objMap As MapPoint.Map
Dim objLoc As MapPoint.Location
Dim ObjNewMap As MapPoint.MappointControl
KeepMoving = True

' Open a North American map
MapPointControl1.NewMap geoMapNorthAmerica

This supposedly puts a newmap in the MP control.. well I get this error message as the form loads...
Run-Time error '438': Object doesn't support this property or method.

Then it highlights the MapPointControl1.NewMap geoMapNorthAmerica line. I'm lost.
