    Map Size Printing

    Hello,

I use MapPoint 2009 and am having difficulty printing the exact map I want to display. With the mouse-wheel zoom feature, it's either way too small or too big to fit on the screen. Is there a better way to zoom in and out - a way that is more precise and will allow me to set the exact size of the map I want to print?

    THANKS!!!

    nlovier,

    Happy Friday

You can right-click / drag to zoom in to a specific area.. see if that helps.

In the Advanced menu, there is a slider tool that you can use to set the zoom more precisely.. I agree the mouse wheel jumps in or out a lot.

Finally, you can also set the height or altitude programmatically, but I don't know of a end-user tool to do this..

    Eric,

    You're a rock star!!

Thanks so much for your help. I was baffled because I knew I had seen that slider tool before, but I couldn't find it anywhere and I had all toolbards showing. Turns out my Advanced toolbar was "condensed," so all it showed was the search bar.

This is extremely helpful. Thanks again!!! And have a great weekend.

    MapPoint Slider and Obama's Chicago

Hehe, glad to help. By the way, here's a screenshot of the slider in case anyone is wondering what we're talking about.
