This is similar to the Individual State Mapper and the Map Single County templates... in fact I used the Individual State Mapper as a starting point for this template. I just deleted all 48 of the state boundary shapes..

You can use this ptm file as a starting point for your own maps when you only want to show the United States, covering up Canada, Mexico, Cuba, etc. and the oceans.

Would it be difficult to create a custom map that includes the lower 48 (including the UP of Michigan) and Canada?

Oops. I have updated the zip file above so the Upper Peninsula is included. I just need to click on that part of the map and hit delete so the polygon would go away.

I'd have to find a shape file for the country level. I will keep an eye out.
