My first posting here, but probably not the last. Hello to you all from the UK.

I use MIP to trace graffiti crime. I have a table with 2 years worth of records, but I want to cut out just a portion of this, by date range.

Can someone please point me to an example of a query that will do this? On Googling I found recourse to the "Between" function but I can't find it in the MapInfo QUERY / SQL select / Functions dropdown box.

Any help would be gratefully recieved.

I just did this the day before yesterday ! Although I am using MapInfo 8.5, it's the same thing.

Simply use AND... so it would be like

date > 1/1/2006 and date < 12/312006

to get all the records from 2006.

I've been advised to try this by someone who does other databases but I haven't tried it yet. It won't be long until I do though!

dtPictureTaken>="25/4/2007 13:10:99.999" AND
dtPictureTaken<="26/4/2007 13:10:00.000"

I'm sure I could get away with the seconds though.
