I am wondering how to set the style of the maps I get from RenderService.Getmap like I see the maps in MapPoint 2004 when I set the Map style to 'Data maps'.

Now I'm using the 'Political' style but this show way to mush detail. I need alot less detail. No streets and all of that. Or is there any other approach?

Also is it possible to set your own colors for the boundaries of the provinces?

The closest MapStyle to that is the 'Locator' style, however, that style does show major roads.

No, it's not possible to control the drawing of polygons on the maps.

So it's not possible to get maps with less data then the 'Locator' style one?
The maps are very crowdy and are hard to read when you have a few Push Pins on them?
