Mapping PO Boxes

We use MapPoint to track where our constituents live so our reps can have a visual map to use when they are visiting constituents in their territory. I've always had a problem with MapPoint not finding several addresses (we map by street address). We recently discovered that addresses with PO Boxes are totally being skipped. Therefore, our reps are not getting a true picture of how many "pushpins" are in their area. I tried using "map by zip code", but that doesn't work for us because when you look at the balloon or export the data to Excel, the full address doesn't show. What can I do to alleviate this problem? Thank you for any help you can give.

Some third party address data does include PO Boxes (I had a customer who had data like this for mass-marketing purposes). However, the locations for the PO boxes are all at the location of the parent post office.

Also, if my own PO box is anything to go by, the box's zipcode is NOT the same as the post office's zipcode. (and it also isn't mine - but why should it be?)

This might explain your problems.

Also, even if you PO boxes were correctly plotted on the correct post office, would this be of use to you? It might / might not, depends on what kind of resolution / size your reps need. They also can't visit a PO box.
