MapPoint 2002 Radius Tool

Hello,

(Currently using 2002 and hope to update to 2009)

Is there a way to select and export the contents of a radius that is drawn on a map? I know that you can use the selection tool to select and export the results of the selection... but I'm hoping to do the same thing with the radius tool.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: MapPoint 2002 Radius Tool

Hi Z,

MapPoint 2002 doesn't allow these?

Using MapPoint 2006, I selected both the Oval and the Radius
and was able to right click on them and Export To Excel.
There is also the object model that allows one to querycircle.

I expect all of this in 2009 as well.
'Guess I'll go buy it.

Re: MapPoint 2002 Radius Tool

Hi Mike,

Thank you very much for your reply.

After reading your post, I went back to MapPoint and found a way to export the results of an oval or radius. Once you draw the object, go to the menu and select Data, then "Export To Excel" and presto.

Originally I assumed that if the functionality to do this was available, it would be available when I right clicked within the oval or radius, which it was not. However, there is more than one way to do things which I found out this morning.

Thanks again!
