Can anyone say yet if there are any major changes to the Mappoint 2006 activex control? Would there be a .net control? Has reverse geocoding (getting an address from lat/lon) been improved?

Yes, reverse geocoding has improved. Now you can get the latitude and longitude values of any location object created with the findresults or find addressresults method. But this is a one way. Of course you still can't get the streetadress of a location object created with the getlocation method.

I can't see major changes in the control, but it seems that any application created with the MapPointControl 13 (2006) is incompatible to the old Control (2004).

Actually, that doesn't seem to be the case, at least in a project built with C++. The program seems to run fine with either version. Although, there is one major difference (in my mind). The airports are no longer in an Airport category.
