I have a C# application that uses Mapoint 2004. The customers complain that maps are outdated and I need to upgrade to Mappoint 2006. Is the version 2006 API fully backward compatible with 2004? I have a short deadline and want to make sure that this won't involve too much coding change. I am sure many of you have done this, can anybody let me know how involved this is.

Yes it is backward compatible.

Any coding changes that might be required would be extremely minimal.

If any change is required it may be as simple as one character. i.e. if the old code explicitly called the old version with a .11, then would just have to change to .13.
