Re: Mappoint 2009

What bugs appear? There are no real difference between the 2006 and 2009 API's... none at all in fact.

However, some things have changed (cannot do a "run from CD" install, and the Pushpins are different).

Re: Mappoint 2009

As you say the pushpins are different so for a program of geolocalisation.... But my question is more generaly if you know it's different is it because you "test-try" or if you have a documentation to explain that? If it is a doc, i need to know where to find it because Microsoft not seem show it on his website.

Thank in advance

Re: Mappoint 2009

MapPoint 2009 comes with its own documentation, but Microsoft did a botched job of updated - eg. it still lists the 2006 pushpins, and listed API changes "new for 2009" are actually the changes that were introduced with 2006!

Re: Mappoint 2009

Yes, I think it would be trial and error in terms of what works right with a custom program...

Let us know if there is something specific you can't figure out.

Re: Mappoint 2009

Well , so I figure out the best way is to try it myself. For 2006 I didn't find a real website like a javaDoc to explain de API, there's many forum but not a documentation. If I miss it can you tell me which website to use that explain all method for de API I can utilize?

Thanks,

Re: Mappoint 2009

Maybe your request is simpler than we are realizing?

The Help file contains complete API documentation for MapPoint.. examples abound for all the Properties, Methods, Objects, Events..

Re: Mappoint 2009

You set them in the same way as with MapPoint 2006. The only difference with pushpins is that there are only 40 or so, and not 300+.

(so if you try to set a pushpin's Symbol property to 100, you will get an exception - unless you have imported your own pins)
