Hello,

I looked at the FAQ's and forum posts for the last 2 weeks, and did not see a reference to problems updating the construction information in MP 2009.

I installed MP 2009 today. When I went to update the construction information I get a prompt that the information is out of date, and asked if I want to update it. I click Yes, a file appears to download, then an error appears stating that the information can't be downloaded and to try later.

I Google'd the error and found references to MP 2004 stating that the URL to the update site in the registry is incorrect. I tried using the URL shown as correct in the Google search, and received the same error.

I then went to a friend who is still using MP 2006. I had him attempt to update his construction information, and he was able to update successfully. I copied the URL is his registry, and pasted it into the registry on my machine.

Now, when I attempt to update, I get the window showing the attempted file download, followed by a message stating that the new construction file is not available at this time, try later.

MS support is useless, I tried the web support, MP 2009 isn't listed in the product list, if I choose MP2006, then enter the product ID I get a message that the ID is for MP2009, and I'm redirected back to the Choose a Product section. Again, MP 2009 isn't listed.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Brian,

There was a discussion of this topic recently. I didn't know where to look for it either, but then I remembered the "Similar Threads" feature which lists similar topics on the very bottom of each thread page. Thank you very much, didn't solve the issue, but consensus seems to be that the problem is on the MS side.
