I have created a list of the names of the different Map Feature Categories, here:

I have already written an article for Eric that shows you how to modify the map feature settings in MapPoint 2010 using C#.

As of MapPoint 2010, map features are grouped into categories (along the lines of "water labels", "large city symbols", etc), and these can be switched on or off. Additional detail can also be requested.

These are very similar to the 2004/2006 set, but with a few additions. Also, some of the indices have changed (it looks like the flags were moved up with the standard geometric markers, so all intervening pushpins have higher indices).

I think the English version will be available at the same time as MapPoint 2010 North America. We will probably list it for sale shortly - in the next few days.

I note from the MS website that currently MapPoint 2010 Europe will be arriving in Jan 2010.

How can I find out when the road networks in my State (Washington) are updated in MapPoint?

I would say that they are, but post a screenshot from a previous version and I can reply with a post with a screenshot with the same are in MapPoint 2010.

Does anyone know of the issue of Broomfield County, Colorado has been solved with MapPoint 2010. When mapping to the censustract level in Broomfield county, MapPoint errors out on some censustract numbers as un-mappable. You can see the tract numbers on the map, but MapPoint does not acknowledge these numbers as available to add data to the map. For example, income level of censustract to maps.
