    kevinrpalmer,

Welcome to the forums! It's a bit of work to get the shapes all imported and it wouldn't work at all like the built-in geographies, but it can be done.

What specifically are you trying to do? e.g. map a specific variable and have different shading based on some ranges?

Re: MapPoint 2013 Sales Territories DataMap Screenshot

    Hi,
I'm a new member of this forum, and must say I'm glad it exists!
We've got 3 licenses tha we will install on lap tops for ouor reps to create their sales route and feed the customer data base.
Is MP 2013 able to "link" in real time the updates from the 3 users? Or they will have to save the created map in a common server every once and then to synchronise?
    Thanks for your help.
    And, bonjour from Montréal, Qc.

Welcome to the forums and I hope you find it a good resource!

Is MP 2013 able to "link" in real time the updates from the 3 users?
You can have a linked data file, either Excel or Access.

It's generally read only, however. You can't write data from MapPoint back to Excel or Access. You would need to do edits in Excel or Access.

Does this make sense? As you play around with it and get things set up, please don't hesitate to post questions in here.

Bessie - thanks for your psuedo-participation in the forum these last several days, but you must know I'm on to you and you're not going to score any spam links? LOL

Question Problem with Mapping Territories across the US and Canada

Pretty simple problem, my company that sells plywood has 6 sales contacts that divide the United States and Canada equally. My only problem is that two guys split California in half so I need to make California two separate territories (north and south) but I can't do that when I make the territorial geography filter counties because there are no counties in Canada and the only geography Canada and the U.S share is Povince/State. So how can I make this map a reality on MapPoint? Is it even possible? Any help would be highly appreciated!

Here is the map I'm trying to create: Sales Contacts | Murphy Company

MapPoint as the software is typically updated every two years and available in both upgrade and full packaged product form; the current and final version is 2013.
