MapPoint ActiveX Wrapper for Delphi 5/7

We have just released version 2 of our VCL component for Delphi 5 & 7. This is a wrapper component for the ActiveX that ships with MapPoint, allowing it to work under Delphi and exposing many of the more useful properties and methods. We'll be adding to this to hopefully provide all of the functionality in later releases. All future versions will be shipped as a free upgrade to all registered users, and always comes with source code so your investment is safe.

http://www.gkconsulting.co.uk - Look in the "Products" section for a compiled demo. Purchase online and receive the full component by email.

Updated ActiveX Wrapper

We've now updated the component with some new features :

Reverse Lookup - enter a Postcode to get the address or, if no exact match is found, the nearest address to the postcode.

Create maps from your Delphi TQuery compatible component. Full customisation of the fields visible in the balloon.

We're continually developing this component and any registered users always get any upgrades free of charge.

Your site does not give unfortunately much information on this
component. My e-mail having remained without answer, I benefit from
this forum to put some questions:
- does the licence of this component imply to you it additional costs at the time of the distribution of our applications?
- is it or will be compatible with MapPoint 2004?

Thanks in advance

MapPoint Control

Firstly, my apologies for the delay in replying, it's been a while since I checked this forum. If you would like to email me your queries, please send them to : gk@gkconsulting.co.uk.

To answer your questions, there is no runtime fee from us for the component, but a full copy of MapPoint has to be installed on each PC.

MapPoint

I forgot to answer the second question. Yes, we have successfully used the control with MapPoint 2004 European edition, and have clients using the control with no problems with the North American version too.
