From my experiences, both mapoint desktop and web services versions are designed for transactional apps, which requires few route calculations at a time.

But before coming to those transactions, we need to create a plan, that can be created by analytical app.

But for analytical apps, we need to calculate more routes for taking a decision. For example there are 100 customer location that can be served by 10 taxis/cabs located in 10 different locations. We need a 110 * 110 distance matrix for taking a decision, which takes lot of time in Mappoint desktop version. I assume it would be more for web services.

I request Mappoint development team to consider these apps in the future design of Mappoint.
