Mappoint Circumference and Post Code
Hi,

Can anyone tell me if i can show a circumference of a set distance i.e 25 miles from a starting postcode and list the post codes that fall within that circumference

Hi, this is straightforward to do manually using the package. Just find the location of the postdode on the map, select the radius tool in the drawing menu, left click on the postcode location and extend the circle to 25km. Then right click on the circle and press export to excel.

Oops sorry - just re-read your message. You want to list out postcodes. If you want to list out all the full postcodes eg KT17 4BT that's problematic. If you want to list out postcode sectors (eg KT17 4) that's straightforward. Which??

To be honets all i need is the first part of the post code i.e KT14. How would i do this then?

Sorry I really should have read your first post!

One problem i have is that when i export to excel it simply say "no data found" any assistance please. The second question is can i print the page showing the radius i have plotted?

You should be able to use the Data Mapping Wizard:
- Shaded Area
- Add (Great Britain) demographic data
- Area Square KM & By PostCode/District/Sector

Then select an area and export ...

Hi Thanks for your assistance this is probably the best mapping software ever!

Now i am build a front end so the user simply types in a radius and the post codes are displayed and the map is ready to print.......any help would be appreciated on this one!
