Yesterday i tested MapPoint with Garmin 18 Pc and MapPoint Crash very often. I use the monitoring option, look stable, but when I try to use the driving aid, the software becomes very unstable, I can not use more than 5 minutes. I don't know if it's the GPS is the problem or MapPoint, i not have a other model a this time to do some test. I see no update for MapPoint(i have legal copy). When i update my XP(legal version), mapppoint never seems to have an update, but all other Microsoft products (legal copy) already have an SP since the first version? ?? or the new version fix the probleme ????

The application stop and want send a crash report to microsoft and ask for restart MapPoint, with no other avertisement ......

Have no idea, but to debug I think it is best to monitor the serial port with some spy program (there are a lot freeware) and try to check what changed at the moment of the crash (or just before it). Not very easy because there are a lot of parameters, but I think it is something the GPS receiver sends that Mappoint don't like.
