Hello i have a big problem: when i put some avoided zones and then calculate the fastest/shortest route i dont get the fastest/shortest one at all.

Here is the way i do it (Mappoint Europe 2004)

1)
Find "Salerno, Campania, Italy"
Add it as starting point of the route
Find "Reggio Calabria, Calabria, Italy"
Add it as ending point of the route
Calculate the route. Look at it.

2)
Go Find "Eboli, Campania, Italy"
Put a rectangle around it including the calculated route.
Activate the avoid property.
Recalculate the route.

3)
The calculated route is not the fastest one!!!
Calculate a route with 1.Salerno 2.Contursi 3.Reggio Calabria
It is faster!!!!! One hour less!!!!! It is shorter too!!!!!!
WHY??????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????

There is a dimple in the time-space continuum in "Eboli, Campania, Italy". I thought everyone knew that.

Come on i am serious.
I have other examples too.
I controlled it on other pcs but the result is the same.
Waiting for a real answer.

I have the jpg's of the maps where i show what i mean. I tried on new maps every time (no preferred roads set, no other avoided areas). The calculated routes are longer in time and space then the real shortest-quickest route.
I don't have a server to load pics on.
If anybody does have some space somewhere i can send them via email.


Maybe it is some kind of bug on the vectorized data or in the route alghoritm when it meets avoided areas.. Please let me know i am using all day long this software with VB to calculate thousands of routes with avoided areas: i casually found this crazy thing (the route is CLEARLY wrong, try on your own)
