They are not compatible.. you would need to upgrade / buy the new version (-- or order the trial to temporarily) to open and read those maps. You might recommend -- is it possible your colleague can send you the files he/she used to set up the map along with instructions? Otherwise, you might ask for gifs/images of the map(s). Probably the easiest thing would be to upgrade to MapPoint 2004. Eric
