I have Internet Explorer 8 and Mappoint 2010 on one PC and it works fine. I have the same setup on another PC and Mappoint works and Interet explorer works but I can't get Mappoint to open in Internet Explorer. MapAcx.ocx is the add on and is doesn't load. Any ideas why?

What versions of Windows? Could user permissions be an issue? Why do you want to open it in IE? Can you post a screenshot?

Windows XP and I'm the administrator. I have a website that maps addresses. the spot where mappoint should be is just a small white box with an red x in it. Nothin really to take a screen shot of. The first time it came up with windows has blocked this software unknown publisher. But it has come back up since.

I'm not sure I totally understand. Do you have a web server? Is MapPoint installed on the client computers or just the server?

The info comes from the server and I have mappoint installed. I had it on my old PC and it worked fine.

Yeah you guys are absolutely right I too have installed mappoint for my Windows 8 and it is doing well.

Sorry, but where is MapPoint installed?

Mappoint is installed on my PC.

How far does it get? Does it give you error information? Can you go into debugging and find more information?
