Have you seen the Java example at demo.mappoint.net?

I am using the Spatial point example. But when I change the datasource name and entity type , even though there are multiple addresses within a 5 mile radius of the search term, I am getting only one pushpin in the map, with the exact address. It doesnt seem to be reading my datasource and does not show pushpins and list for entity types nearby the search location. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks...

Mahi,

Can you please tell me whether you are accessing MapPoint database or you have uploaded your own data on mappoint and accessing it.

If you are using your customised data how exctly you are accessing that customised data.

Which link will help us in this regard ?

amit

mappoint4j

There is a mappoint4j project on SourceForge.net
The available mappoint4j.jar and the JUnit test cases definitely facilitated my java application integration to the mappoint web services.
Check it out at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mappoint4j

Re: Mappoint java support

Hello,
I'm trying to use MapPoint Web Service with a Java rich-client and a JSP thin-client.
I am always getting an
Code:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
Exception

I've also tried the Jakart Commons HTTPClient instead of the SimpleHTTP-Client, but haven't been successful with this as well.

With a .NET Client I can easily access the MapPoint Web Service, however not with Java.

Also, I couldn't get the JSP-Example (Java Store Locator) from demo.mappoint.net running, and the rich-client example (Java Driving Directions) from demo.mappoint.net throws the Connectiont timeout exception from above.

I have already spent hours on this.

Could anyone post code for a running example in JSP or plain Java.
It would be better if you could attach the code as complete package in this thread.
Or even send it to me at markus.kolp@freenet.de.

And how did you get the Store Locator Example running? I'm using JBoss - any issues with this?
