Mappoint Map --> X,Y

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to approximate the X,Y co-oridinates on a mappoint map (in miller projection)? I found the following formula on the net, but I can't get it to work:

y = (5/4)*arcsinh(tan(4*latitude/5))

Being a total math putz ( ) I can't see how this could work???

Any ideas greatly appreciated!
