| MapPoint Programming Documentation? Why so little? It seems to be a widely used map engine resource, yet there are no books, and very little published information about programming with MapPoint. Is there some resource I don't know about?         |

What in particular are you looking for? The Help file contains a lot of information. Also, in the articles section of this site there is a great deal. http://www.google.com/search?q=site%...tle%3Aarticles Microsoft's own MSDN programming articles are a but web service and .NET heavy, but there are still quite a few articles worthwhile for MapPoint 2004. Finally, the MapPoint for Dummies book contains sections on programming. hope this helps, Eric

| Re: book For those interested in leveraging Excel and/or VBA with MapPoint, I have a new reference out titled "Excel Basics to Blackbelt" (Cambridge Press 2008 ). Lot's of tricks to make use of. I've made a number of applications that integrate MapPoint with other apps through Excel and VBA as well.
