mappoint registration pops up everytime i run

For some reason MS Works interferes with Mappoint. I cannot uninstall enough of MS Works for this not to happen. I got help on Streets 2003 by being given an new Key to regedit.
I have not clue on why a 250.00 program somehow mysteriously links into Works, but I cannot get around it.
Please Help.
