MapPoint transaction cost changes

Hello,
We're now getting reemed on our transaction costs. We were buying transactions at about 1.5 cents. They have now more than doubled (closer to tripled). What happened? Is this just a change in my reseller or did Microsoft implement a pricing change? I heard that they were going to start doing address resolution for free but nothing has materialized on this.

What resources are there for purchasing transactions? I'm thinking about jumping ship and going to MapQuest or Yahoo.

Thanks,
Jeff

Transactions

Well that doesn't sound good,

You should not have seen an increase of that magnitude in fact all prices have dropped. Who are you buying from because it sounds like your reseller might be doing something wrong configuring your contract?

How many transactions are you buying per year?

Transaction fees

We're buying around 200,000 and 300,000 transaction sper year and are probably going to go to 500,000 very quickly.

pricing

This doesn't sound right to me, I have asked the inside sales team to check pricing on a contract of that size and I will get back to you.

Thanks,

Mark - MSFT

pricing

Ok, here's the deal. We price our product (transactions) to our re-sellers; they can turn around and add on additional fees if they chose to. I would take a look at a couple of other resellers to see if you can get a better price, that's way high.
