| Price Functionality
Use Them both MapPoint does all I need it for. The big eqaulizer is the linking of Excel in our business applicatons. Esri is costly and it does a lot more just make sure you need the Bells and whistles.This is how I found Mappoint,using the .shp file linking utility. Dave

Mappoint location server is more easier in terms of programming. But ESRI products are more tuned for performing high end GIS analyses etc. I feel MapPoint is good for simple mapping applications. ESRI has similar product called ArcWEB services instead of ArcGIS that you have specified. I can give you a better idea if you can specify your objectives more clearly, ie what you are trying to achieve. Hope this helps. Thanks |
