Trying to run my VB6 and MapPoint application on a LCD PC that has screen in portrait mode yes, 600 x 800 pixel resolution. MapPoint say error message indicating it will not run in less then 640 x 480 mode. If I start device in 800 * 600, it works fine but I really need to run the application in portrait mode. Is there any way to fool mappoint into starting ?

try making the application 640x800 then reduce the mappoint object to 600x800? ps where did you get a 600x800 portrait lcd??

The LCD is a Fujitsu tablet PC that is 800*600 resolution but has an option to be set up in portrait mode. All applications then come up at that resolution but not mappoint.

did you try setting up your app to be 640 wide with a smaller mappoint object? or does it freak out because of the actual resolution reported by windows display properties...
