| Microsoft Re-joins the Open Geospaitial Consortium Yesterday Microsoft officially became a member of the OGC, rejoining after a multi year hiatus. VE's Vincent Tao and Ed Katibah from the SQL Server team were instrumental in working with the OGC to resolve the issues needed to rejoin. More news on this is on the way jointly from Microsoft and OGC; I'll post it here when its available.         |

So the VE team think the OGC is still relevant. This isn't a criticism (more of a discussion starter really), but I have heard people question the OGC's relevancy when the big players go off and do their own thing. Richard
