my company is looking to move to MapPoint from Streets and Trips. All of our current mapping files are in the S&T .est format.

We are looking to purchase MapPoint 06 and are wondering if we will be able to import our S&T files into MapPoint?

Any help is appreciated.

I have seen a post or an article about using maps from Streets and Tips (or Autoroute, sorry I dont recall it) in mappoint. It was a question of copy all files with same name or extention to it. I did already a search when I saw your first message but I could not find it anymore.

Not standard for sure. But there was a conversion that was possible. I only dont recall anymore if it was S&T or Autoroute and in which direction.

The answer is YES. I know because I often have to convert S&T to MapPoint for programming purposes and captures. The only requirement is that the S&T file be of equal or lesser year.

I think the question is getting confused. Those links refer to the MAP DATA the program uses in the user interface. Atom is looking to use the actual files he created (such as shapes, pushpins, etc.) in S&T and use them in MapPoint. This would be good to know because I had to resort to doing a Cut & Paste from a MapPoint file onto a S&T file to give to a client who does not own MapPoint. The items paste exactly where they were when cut, but even with a small amount of data, it takes a while... there has got to be a better way.
