Hi, does the standalone executable run fine on the same machine? does your applicion run on another machine with same or other OS. maybe somoe of these things difficult to try?

hi, Could be something to do with the speed of machine or OS. Try the following. Put a button on the form and place the Map:NewMap( geoMapEurope ) code intot the onClick event of that button. Start the application, wahti 15 seconds or so or longer, then click the button. When it works you can open the map with a timer to delay it. it it don't works the pull your hair out

I am going to go along with Wilfried on this or something similiar- I googled that error and found some other software pkgs having similiar issues- they put in a delay timer to slow down the call to the OCX |
