I don't own MapPoint, and I don't know it would be relevant or not for what I need. I have to go to cities and scout up to 20 different places, but I have no idea which is the best order to do it in since I don't know the areas. At the moment all I can do is mapquest each individual location and try to figure out myself the best order to go to them in, is there a website, or a program where I can enter them all in and it will give me the distances and figure out the most effective route to take?

You can use MapPoint to figure out the best route in length or time.
If you do n ot have the software I think you can use a triel version.
Download it to your computer. I used to find my routes in www.mappy.com, but I don't know if there are maps for USA.

Alas they don't cover the US.
