need help in entering quaintly against postcode

Hi,

I really need your help, I have been trying to import data using the wizard to find out how many of our products have been sold by postcode, however this does not work or I’m doing something wrong.

Below is what my excel data looks like, I have two columms detailing:

QTY POSTCODE
10 UB8 255
1 UB8 111
12 UB8 222
2 UB8 121

If the data was imported right I would see that we sold 15 products to the UB8 postcode area. But when I import the data it only says that we sold 4 products. It seems to be just looking at the postcode column and not the qty by postcode.

Any Ideas?
Thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

Roll it up first by post code.. you should only have one record/row per post code with a sum of all sales in that zip code.. this can be accomplished with Access or a database... you should also be able to do this with Excel.
