Hopefully I can get a straight answer to my complex string of questions ... I've read some of the posts on Licensing, but I want to clearify Microsoft's legaleese regarding installation and use of MP2K4 on a network.
1) It appears I can legally install MP2K4 on a network and it can be used my the number of users I have licenses for. Do I need a license for the server it's installed on PLUS the users?
2) If MP2K4 is installed on a network, is it only available for one user at a time? If so, would one license cover the current user?
3) If MP2K4 is installed on a network, if I create an access authorization group for users, can I assume the ACL group (x users) should equal the amount of licenses I've purhaced?
4) If everything is positive for installing MP2K on a network - what is the simplest way to do it? If there's a reference for nw installation, please include the link.

1. It is not "installed" on the server, the files just reside there. You need a license for each of the computers it's installed on.

2. I doubt it.

That's not accurate, Eric. They want to run MP2K4 from the server and you have to purchase a license for the server plus one license for each machine used to access the server. Here's the applicable section from the EULA.

As an alternative to the rights granted in the previous section, You may install a copy of the Software Product on one storage Device, such as a network server, and allow individuals within Your business or enterprise to access and use the Software Product from other Devices over a private network, provided that You acquire and dedicate a license for the storage Device upon which the Software Product is installed and each separate Device from which the Software Product is accessed and used. This license does not give you a right to allow anyone to access or use the Software Product over the Internet. You may also exercise the additional license rights described in the following sections. A license for the Software Product may not be used concurrently on different Devices.

So translated into simple english:

"each running instance of the program needs a licence."

That covers 2 and 3 of original poster. Wy does all these things be completely unreadeable while it can be say in 2 word
