Hi,
I am a VB Programer and New to Map Point ActiveX Control. I still don't have the Map Point installed on my PC.

How can i get the OCX on my pc. Is there other way to install the OCX without installing the MapPoint Package? I have to use the ocx in VB.

And will the OCX include the functionality of finding the Distances between two ZipCodes in Miles?

The ActiveX control does need the full MapPoint install to work.

This would be a little tricky but can certainly be done indirectly. I think you could find the center of two zip codes by geocoding a Pushpin to the location and then get the lat/lon's -- then either try putting a line between the two and see if the distance is exposed in the API, if not then use a great circle formula for computing the distance between two lat/lon's, this would be faster anyway so I'd recommend the latter approach.
