Is there a bridge that will get the location of a GPS phone and update mappoint.
I have 50 drivers. I'm looking for a low cost solution.
Thanks

There is a service from a Nextel partner called FutureRoads.com. For about $10/month per Nextel unit, you can get AVL on Mappoint. Nextel charges about $15/month for the data service, so your total will be about $25/month per vehicle. You may be able to get better rates with the higher number of vehicles, we are looking into this service for only about 3 or 4 vehicles to start.

If your GPS phone can send email with location (Lat-Lon), you can try GPS Track from Mobile GPS Online. More info at http://www.mobilegpsonline.com/products_2.htm
You can also get GPS navigation (just like expensive in-car solutions) from www.telenav.net.
www.telenavtrack.com also provide online tracking and management solution through nextel motorola Java phone.
You can check http://AccuTracking.com for the free tracking service.

I hope I'm wrong but I believe Mappoint's EULA (for MP2004) precludes being able to use it for real or near realtime AVL mapping solutions. I believe you can still use MP2002 without any problems

If you go to either of those web sites, they say you need a copy of MapPoint 2004 and a Nextel phone.
Microsoft obviously doesn't care. They list Cheetah as a member of the MapPoint Alliance Program and promote them as MapPoint Solution Providers.
