Hello All,

I have MapPoint 2002 and have not been able to update the construction information for a few months.

Is 2002 still supported by MS?

I can find no construction updates on the MS download site.

I thought between 2002 and 2004 the construction file format was the same. You might try searching for a construction update for MapPoint 2004 or 2006 and apply that ?

Thank you for the response Eric, but I have tried that and it does not work.

The construction file associated with MP 2002 seems to be ConstructionA1031413.dat, whereas, for MP 2004, the file is ConstructionA3042622.dat and for 2006, the file is ConstructionA6021212.dat.

Whenever I put in the 2006 or the 2004 updates, MP 2002 goes through a repair process and adds the original construction information from the CD. When I rename the MP 2004 & 2006 files to have the same name as the 2002 file, I still get a message stating that the construction information is out of date.

Does anyone know how I can "convert" the 2004 or 2006 construction update so that it fits with MP 2002?
