Northern Ireland & Channel Islands Postcodes not Recogni

Can anyone help?

I need to know why the postcodes for

Example: Channel Islands

GY, JE

Example: Northern Ireland

BT

are not recognised as part of united kingdom. They are either greyed out in territory mapping or records not matched errors posted.

Do I have to purchase updated postcodes file?

Thanks in advance

BT is a part of the UK, but you could argue that GY, JE, and IM aren't.
(they're Bailiwicks, and operate a bit like protectorates).

Postcode datasets often have some of the main post code groups missing. GY,JE, IM are the most common to be missing along with an internal post office one that I forget now (may not even be used but it is reserved for internal use).
Others that are often missing are BT, and the one that covers the Western Isles (Hebrides and Orkneys wouldn't surprise me either, but I know the Western Isles is often missing).

Even the OS's "Mastermap" digital flagship product has GY, JE, and IM missing from its postcode data - and that is updated directly from the Post Office.

I've noticed this - and it's particularly frustrating a we do a lot of business in Northern Ireland.

I'd be keen to find out where (&how) I go about sourcing the info, and if it's at all possible to import in to Mappoint 2004 Europe. Seems a bit odd that Ireland has been skipped with it being part of Europe and all.
