Old MP2004 User has Returned to the Fold

I used MP2004 quite a bit and then switched jobs. Now, I am using the freshly downloaded MP2006 Trial and really quite happy to be back in the fold, so to speak.

One of my biggest projects will be to try and figure out how to define custom territories in MP which reflect the political subdivisions of Dallas County and Collin County in Texas, called Precincts, as well as other subdivisions such as US Congressional Districts and Texas House Districts which overlap and cut some precincts in half. It'll be a learning experience.

But, I wanted to introduce myself and if you're also using MP for political work, say hi!

Re: Old MP2004 User has Returned to the Fold

Welcome back and hope you enjoy using MapPoint...

for areas or geographies that are not built into MapPoint you often have to using custom drawing objects.

Are you able to build up your territories from zip code or census tract?

Eric
