I have just purchased Map Point 2002 to help with routing my snow contractors this winter. Low and behold it doesn't have any of the developements or their streets. These developments have been in since 1999.

Even addresses that have existed for over 185 years (I live there.. no I am not 185 years old but thanks for asking) do not appear correctly for start points.

Where oh where do you download accurate street data. Nice of MS to supply construction zone updates, but without the streets being present in the software who cares.

Maybe one day MS will get it all right. Should it be Map Point release 2002 with 1997 data. At least that would not mislead the consumer to think that they might be purchasing up to date info.

Hope someone has updates somewhere

MS contracts with at least a couple of best-of-breed data vendors for streets and does a considerable amount of work themselves.. too bad this didn't work out for you.. if you can find a better set of data and/or provide lots of feedback via their map reporting mechanim, I'm sure they'd take notice..
