one Map Instance in MDI Application

Hello at all.

I has an application in different forms the MapPoint control to use. This application is a current MDI application. At present each form holds an instance of the MapPoint control. For example, one form for route planning and one form for position tracking.

My question, is to be provided it possible the instance only once with the start of application and in each case to the forms continues to add without that new instance to be always produced must?

Thanks alot and best regards

cue

Hi,

Now I understeand. No impossble. If you have many maps in your application then many mappoint.exe will run in background. You need to have enough memory to hold them all on the target machines.

Re: one Map Instance in MDI Application

If you don't really need to have any interaction with the map instances (just display them), then you can copy the map bitmaps and put them in picturebox controls on your forms.
