Here is my situation. I have developed a MapPoint map in MapPoint 2006 that is a shaded map based on a view in my production SQL Server 2000 database. Right now, the data is static and I simply go in a refresh the records if it changes.

Well, this needs to get out to the user community. I want to give my users the ability to feed date criteria into this query on my production server and refresh this mappoint Shaded Area map to see what areas are effectively selling product. I have searched far and wide for a solution to this without heavy coding. Is there a way to have this Shaded Area MapPoint Map posted opened in a Scorecard and have it retrieve the records from that view based on criteria? As it stands right now, it appears that MapPoint 2006 can only to a read of ALL records, not perform any dynamic querying of the source data (besides the fact that i have to set up a client side udl for it to connect to . . .).

Any suggestions would be appreciated. In my office we have Crystal 9, Hyperion Brio, 1 very busy .Net programmer, SharePoint and could conceive getting something else if it would just let me do what I need to do.

Ideally I would have a map that my users can open, put in that they want 1/1/2007 and 1/31/2007 data, have the map pop up, and have them be able to click on the map and have it drill down to the underlying data lines that are powering it. Perhaps this is pie-in-the-sky, but I just want to give you an idea of what I'm going for.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
