Hey, I searched google for sites with streets and trips api programming and couldnt come up with any more rellative links then this forum. I have a question im trying to make a program that would be associated with a file extention *.map or whatever that program would make my streets and trips program display a route from one place to another. Do you guys know where I could find any relative information to this matter? mappoint seems to have its own objects but I dont know what they are called for streets and trips and how this information is relative.

Streets & Trips does not have an API.. it's nearly impossible to automate things.. it's truly just a consumer application. It can only be used in "interactive" mode meaning you have to do everything manually.

That said, it's possible to control the application using something like WinBatch or SendKeys functionality which basically emulates a users behavious with the keyboard and mouse. It's a pain but might be suited to your needs.

I don't know what you mean about a .map file, sorry.

I am going to on a school trip Spain for 15 days. I feel a little anxious at being cut off from my family, and know that a way to keep contact with them would be supremely helpful. I have a basic calling card that I have gotten from the tour company I am going with, but wonder if maybe a cell phone would put my mind more at ease. I have heard that buying an international cell phone and the cards for them is very cheap in Europe, and that there is also companies who rent these phones. Do you have any more information on these topics?
