Outtask Enhances Traveler Lodging Selection Through Integration of Microsoft MapPoint Web Service and Cliqbook
ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- Outtask, Inc., one of the nation's leading providers of "Software as a Service" for travel and expense management solutions, today announced the international availability of location based intelligence for hotel properties into its Travel Management Solution, Cliqbook(TM).
Cliqbook is Outtask's answer to the on-line booking component of the total corporate travel and expense ecosystem. By integrating maps, driving directions, distance calculators and proximity searching capabilities, Cliqbook simplifies logistics for global travelers preparing for their next business trip.
Unlike traditional hotel selection methods, Cliqbook leverages a custom-built world-wide hotel database and Microsoft MapPoint Web Service to deliver an easy to use online tool for travelers to quickly access hotels and points of interests around the world, including street-level maps and driving directions to hotels.
The increased functionality also enables users to further customize their trip when booking travel online. In addition to pinpointing hotels around their destination address, such as a company location, landmark, or airport, they can also do the following:
* Choose a destination address or specified company location on which to base their hotel search
* Rank available hotels by corporate preference and distance from the destination
* Pinpoint hotels on a map relative to landmarks such as finding hotels within certain distances to the Eiffel Tower, Ponte Vecchio, Statue of Liberty, or Sydney Opera House
