I'm developing an Access database for driver routing / mapping purposes that interfaces with MapPoint. Part of its functionality is being able to click a button which opens a map with the selected location highlighted.

On a slower computer, it is obvious that is going to MapPoint and displaying the selected address. However, it immediately closes MapPoint

The only way I've come up with to prevent the map from closing immediately is displaying a message box that the user would see when they choose to close the map. (It basically halts the code until coming back to Access). Is there a way to pause the map in its current state without closing automatically or am I missing something obvious?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
